BERGEN, Norway – Neptune Energy Norge has awarded Odfjell Drilling’s semisubmersible Deepsea Yantai a three-well contract extension.
This will keep the rig under contract to late 2021.
The semisub will conduct the second drilling phase of Neptune’s Fenja field development in the Norwegian North Sea.
In addition, the parties have agreed to increase the number of optional wells from the remaining five to 10.
The Deepsea Yantai is owned by CIMC Raffles and operated by Odfjell Drilling.
