SINGAPORE/OSLO, Norway – Rex International Holding’s 90% owned Lime Petroleum AS expects a well on the Appolonia prospect in the PL263 D/E license offshore Norway to spud in late August or early September.
The Equinor-operated license is in the Halten Terrace area, close to infrastructure. According to Rex, the well will target a conventional Jurassic sand prospect, with a success potentially followed by a fast-track development.
Equinor also has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to use Odfjell’s semisubmersible Deepsea Atlantic for production drilling on the Gullfaks field in the North Sea.
The 72-day program will be on the Gullfaks subsea template O and M.
