Wellesley gets go-ahead to drill offshore mid-Norway

Wellesley Petroleum has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for exploration drilling in the Norwegian Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Wellesley Petroleum has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for exploration drilling in the Norwegian Sea.
The semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin, currently at a shipyard in Kvinesdal, will drill well 6204/11-3 in production license 829, 65 km (40 mi) north-northeast of the Peon discovery and 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Ålesund.
Other licensees are Equinor Energy and Petoro. This will be the first well drilled on the license.
