OSLO, Norway – The Borrjackup Norve has completed the DTM-5H well, the second of the Tortue Phase 2 development wells on the Dussafu permit, offshore Gabon.
According to Dussafu partner Panoro Energy, the well was drilled in 115.5 m (379 ft) of water as a horizontal producer in the Gamba reservoir.
After a long horizontal section of good quality, oil-saturated Gamba sands had been drilled and completed, the subsea tree was installed ready for hookup.
The rig has since spud DTM-6H, the third of the four Phase 2 production wells. First production from DTM-4H and DTM-5H should follow in March with all four Phase 2 wells set to be online by June.
