    Masirah contracts rig for offshore Oman drilling

    Masirah Oil has contracted the jackup Foresight Driller IX for an appraisal well on the Yumna field in block 50 offshore Oman.

    MUSCAT, Oman – Masirah Oil has contracted the jackup Foresight Driller IX for an appraisal well on the Yumna field in block 50 offshore Oman. 

    The 30-day minimum contract is set to start in December. Masirah has an option to retain the rig for extended well testing and to drill further wells.
