HOUSTON -- Derrick has released its new Dual Pool 600 Series Shaker.
The DP 600 Shaker brings a higher fluid-handling capacity all within a standard shaker footprint. An internal oil bath lubrication system in the motors reduces friction, wear, heat, and aids in depleted sound generation, decreasing the number of repairs and potential down time. The hydraulic-actuated deck angle mechanism adjusts in an extended range of +1° to +7°; well beyond that of current shakers available on the market, according to Derrick.
Adding a scalping deck can reduce the feed load on the primary deck to prolong screen life. Increasing the elevation of the hopper by 40%, has put an end to mud splashing and the product's modular design accommodates desilter/desander packages, box or weir feeders, the company says.
Derrick offers another adaptation with the Vapor Extraction (VE) DP 600 Shaker. With an exhaust fan, it has the ability to subtract potentially harmful vapors during the screening process to protect the rig team.
