Offshore wind services provider Venterra Group has acquired the Oceanscan Holdings group of companies.
These offer subsea and non-destructive test equipment, geotechnical services and specialist personnel to the offshore energy sector.
Oceanscan is based in Aberdeen with subsidiaries in Houston and Singapore.
It has four UK subsidiaries:
Oceanscan in Aberdeen hires and calibrates hydrographic survey and ROV sensors and non-destructive test equipment. Another branch in Lowestoft provides personnel to offshore wind contractors, specializing in geophysical and cable route surveys and pre-construction activities.
Hydrographic Personnel Resources (UK) in Inverurie supplies specialists to support offshore wind construction and inspection campaigns.
Geoforce Technical Services in Suffolk offers cone penetration testing services for measuring in-situ soil conditions for offshore wind farm developments.
Sercal Non-Destructive Test Equipment near Birmingham provides repair, sales and calibration services to the power generation and rail industries.
