Empire Energy Partners, Herrick Corp. forge steel alliance for offshore wind

Oct. 15, 2024
Collaboration will focus on manufacturing monopiles, transition pieces, towers, and secondary steel for fixed and floating offshore wind projects.

Empire Energy Partners Offshore Division, a business engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction for offshore wind projects, has announced a strategic joint venture with the Herrick Corporation, a steel manufacturing and fabrication company.

The two companies say that as the US offshore wind sector expands, the need for domestic manufacturing and construction capabilities is more critical than ever.

Empire Energy Offshore and The Herrick Corporation say that they are poised to address this demand by exploring the potential to manufacture key components including monopiles, transition pieces, towers, and secondary steel for both fixed and floating offshore wind projects.
