Eni has completed a combination of much of its UK upstream assets with those owned by Ithaca Energy.

Not included are Eni’s interests in the East Irish Sea and its UK carbon capture and storage activities.

Following the combination, Eni says it is a long-term, supportive shareholder of Ithaca, which it claims is now the UK’s largest offshore owner, with a diversified portfolio of production and development opportunities.

The transaction has approvals from the competent authorities and relevant anti-trust regulators.
