Macquarie Asset Management, via Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7, entered into an agreement late last month to acquire Ziton, an offshore wind operations and maintenance business.
Ziton, formed in Denmark in 2007, currently owns and operates five jackup vessels and has serviced 1,800 turbines across wind farms in the North Sea. Its service covers project planning and execution, lift planning and execution, and the provision of specialized tools and lifting equipment and technical specialists.
Macquarie Asset Management’s investment will support operations and expansion of Ziton’s fleet and services.
The transaction is expected to be completed December 2024 or first-quarter 2025.
