Intergraph opens expanded Global Marine Center in Korea

Intergraph has formally opened the newly-expanded Intergraph Global Marine Center in Busan, South Korea.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Intergraph has formally opened the newly-expanded Intergraph Global Marine Center in Busan, South Korea.

The Intergraph Global Marine Center will work closely with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) to continue enhancing SmartMarine 3D and the SmartMarine Enterprise suite. The software is an integrated offshore and shipbuilding solution that aims to improve design efficiency, production schedule, handover, and overall life-cycle cost control for marine and offshore projects.

Yeong Soo Bae, executive vice president of research and development at SHI, said: “With its data-centric architecture and intelligent, rule-based technology, SmartMarine 3D is truly a technological step-change for the industry. We are expanding the use of SmartMarine 3D into our offshore division as well, and we look forward to working with the Intergraph Global Marine Center to continually enhance the solution for maximum benefits across the entire offshore and marine life cycle.”
