Niko acquires offshore Indonesia block

Niko Resources has acquired a new exploration block offshore southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia.

CALGARY, Canada -- Niko Resources has acquired a new exploration block offshore southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The block covers almost 5,000 sq km (1,931 sq mi) and Niko will have a 25% non-operated working interest.

According to the company, the acreage is located primarily in deepwater and was selected from extensive geologic and geophysical evaluations covering 1,000,000 sq km (386,102 sq mi).
