RICHARDSON, Texas -- Furmanite Corp., a specialist engineering and technical services company, has established a West African operation, and has appointed a general manager.
Furmanite West Africa Ltd., incorporated in Nigeria earlier this year, is headed up by Bulus Sambo, who joined Furmanite in June 2008 from Sulzer Pumps Nigeria, where he was senior business and operations director.
He is responsible for establishing, managing, and building the business in the region. Sambo's priorities include setting up the head office in Lagos and setting up a service center and operational base in the Niger Delta.
Furmanite's full range of on-line and on-site services, including hot tapping and line stopping, on-line pressure leak sealing, on-site machining, composite repair, Trevitest on-line valve testing, and valve repair is now available to operators in West Africa.
