HENDERSON, Australia -- Leighton-Saipem Consortium has awarded Strategic Marine a contract to build four new workboats for use on the Chevron operated Gorgon Project.
The vessels will be built at the company's Henderson Shipyards and used to transport workers to and from construction barges operating at Barrow Island as part of the LNG jetty and marine structure contract for the Gorgon Project.
The new workboats will each carry 12 passengers and will be delivered this year.
