Middle East engineering group joins Fugro

Fugro has agreed to acquire Abu-Dhabi-based DCN Global LLC, a specialist in subsea engineering and diving services, mainly in the Middle East.

LEIDSCHENDAM, the Netherlands --Fugro has agreed to acquire Abu-Dhabi-based DCN Global LLC, a specialist in subsea engineering and diving services, mainly in the Middle East.

With the acquisition of DCN Global, Fugro says it adds to its ability to offer an integrated offshore service package of survey, geotechnical, and IRM (inspection, repair and maintenance) services.

DCN Global, formed in 2010, employs 39 people onshore, up to 170 contract staff offshore, and expects to generate revenues this year of around $30 million. It has worked for oil and gas companies in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and elsewhere in the Middle East region.
