Acid-proof unit heaters
ATD Aero temper unit heater is now available in acid-proof material for offshore and marine applications. Typical installations include workshops, changing rooms, galleries, and store houses. Hot water as well as steam can be used as the heating agent. Units come in five sizes, with power consumption ranging from 7 to 65 kW. The coil can be manufactured in a range of materials, depending on the corrosiveness of the surrounding environment. Electric motors can be supplied in all classes up to explosion proof. On/off-line turbine cleaning
Gas Turbine Efficiency develops systems for cleaning gas turbines which minimize environmental impact by keeping CO2 and NOx emissions as low as possible. The GTE concept provides a high degree of atomization of heated water with or without detergent through specially designed nozzles, operating at 50-80 bar. The benefits compared to lower pressure systems are improved wash efficiency, optimized use of water/detergent, and use of the same nozzles for on and offline washes. Hot isostatic pressing
Metso Powdermet has won several challenging contracts from the offshore sector in recent years. It supplies HIPed near-net shape products from the world’s largest hot isostatic processing facility, in Surahammar, Sweden. Main applications are pressure vessel items such as manifolds for topside and subsea installations, valve bodies, swivels, wye-pieces, and large wall thickness fittings. Material grades are primarily high-strength stainless steel: ferritic 12% Cr, 6 Mo austenitic and 22-25% Cr duplex ferritic/austenitic grades with high corrosion resistance.
