PARIS — SBM Offshore and Technip Energies have signed a memorandum of understanding for the creation of a joint venture (JV) named EkWiL.
The partners said the new floating offshore wind company will combine the companies' people expertise, engineering and delivery capabilities, and complementary technologies.
The 50:50 JV will operate as a fully integrated team to develop two technologies, the semisubmersible INO15 by T.EN and tension-leg platform Float4Wind, and bring them to commercial deployment.
