PARIS, FranceDORIS has acquired Windglaz, a provider of numerical analysis of fixed and floating offshore wind energy and floating solar systems.

Its expertise includes load calculation and aerodynamic modeling. DORIS plans to use this to offer integrated solutions covering design, analysis and installation of offshore wind systems.

The two companies have previously collaborated on pilot and commercial wind farm projects with high-power turbines in South Korea.

Cyril Bourgoin, Windglaz’s founder, said, “Our generic turbine models from 1 to 24 MW, and our ability to quickly adapt to the specificities and modeling interfaces of each system and each project, are key assets to support our customers, from tender phases to detailed design…

“Our positioning within DORIS will allow us to accelerate the development of our load calculation service…”

To date, DORIS has supported more than 60 offshore wind projects in 17 countries. The company can provide concept and feasibility, FEED, and owner’s engineering services.
