LONDON  AGR and Add Energy are combining their services for drilling, wells, reservoirs, carbon capture and storage, and geothermal under the AGR brand.

Energy and marine consultants ABL Group recently acquired both companies to support its optimization and efficiencies offering to oil and gas operations and other energy sectors.

AGR specializes in drilling project management, well engineering, resource solutions, reservoir management and asset evaluation, along with provision of wellsite and operations geologists and software.

Add Energy provides software for drilling intervention, specialized expertise in well servicing, well control and blowout contingency, and in safety and risk management.

This will strengthen AGR's overall service portfolio, said AGR CEO Svein Sollund, “allowing us to span the entire project life cycle of wells and enables even more efficient and optimized operations on behalf of our customers.”

The expanded AGR operation will have offices in energy hubs in Norway, the UK, US, Australia, Malaysia and Middle East region, with more than 400 personnel working on projects worldwide.

Add Energy’s asset integrity management division will not be consolidated into AGR, instead remaining as a service line within ABL.
