VANCOUVER, BC—Africa Oil Corp. has appointed Craig Knight COO of the company.
Knight replaces Timothy Thomas, who retired from the Canadian oil and gas company in 2021 and became a consultant to the company.
Knight joined Africa Oil in August 2021 as vice president of production and has more than 16 years of industry experience.
Knight started his career with Woodside Energy as a petroleum engineer in 2007. He joined Maersk Oil in 2011 where he held various roles across petroleum, production and completions engineering as well as in exploration and subsurface leadership. From 2018 to 2021, Knight was production director with Spirit Energy where he was responsible for production management, hydrocarbon accounting and developing Spirit's carbon emissions reporting processes.
