Petrofac selling UK training centers

3t Energy Group has agreed to acquire Petrofac’s UK training centers.

NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE, UK3t Energy Group has agreed to acquire Petrofac’s UK training centers.

The package includes Petrofac’s Survival and Marine, Health and Safety, Fire, and Major Emergency Management capability and facilities in Scotland.

3t Energy will now become a supplier to Petrofac for UK training requirements.

The company provides training services and technology solutions to clients including BP, Shell, Total, Wood, Saudi Aramco, Transocean, Valaris, Vantage Drilling, Bilfinger, Schlumberger, and Robert Gordon University.

It also claims to be the world’s fourth-ranking supplier of training to the offshore wind sector. Its portfolio of companies includes AIS Training, Survivex, Drilling Systems, and 3t Transform, with offices in Europe, North America, China, and the Middle East.

The company is backed by private equity provider Blue Water Energy.
