Viaro strikes deal for North Sea E&P company RockRose

Viaro Energy has agreed to acquire the entire issued and to-be-issued ordinary share capital of UK North Sea independent RockRose Energy plc.

LONDON – Viaro Energy has agreed to acquire the entire issued and to-be-issued ordinary share capital of UK North Sea independent RockRose Energy plc.

The buyer, based in London, is a subsidiary of energy trading group Viaro, which has offices in Dubai and Hong Kong.

RockRose had acquired various interests in producing North Sea fields since its formation five years ago, its main producing asset being the Brae area in the UK central North Sea, formerly developed by Marathon Oil.

Viaro will retain RockRose’s senior management team.
