ABERDEEN, UK – Materials/logistics management specialist ASCO has acquired NORM Solutions.
NORM supplies cleaning, treatment and disposal services for oilfield equipment contaminated with naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM).
ASCO said the move would strengthen its specialist waste and decommissioning capability, giving clients access to a wider, more integrated service.
NORM, which was established as a joint venture between ASCO and John Lawrie Group, will continue to operate from its facility in Aberdeen, which can manage all types of NORM- contaminated equipment and waste streams for the offshore and onshore industries.
John Davidson will remain as general manager.
