SINGAPORE – Borr Drilling’s jackup Mist has spudded the Montha-1 exploration well for operator KrisEnergy in the G10/48 contract area in the Gulf of Thailand.
The location is roughly 15 km (9.3 mi) west/northwest of the producingWassana oil field.
Planned TD is 10,456 ft MD (3,187 m). On completion, theMist will mobilize to the Wassana production area for three firm infill wells plus one contingent well.
KrisEnergy operates the concession in partnership with Palang Sophon. G10/48 covers 1,525 sq km (589 sq mi) over the Southern Pattani basin in water depths of up to 60 m (197 ft).
