ABERDEEN, UK – Total has extended its contract with software provider Arnlea to the end of 2022.
Under the new agreement, Total’s supply chain and operations tracking (SCOT) project will continue to deploy Arnlea’s Intrinsix MM (materials management) software solution, currently used for inventory and logistics across Total’s operations in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Angola, Gabon, and Nigeria.
Intrinsix involves use of various technologies to facilitate receipt, management and relocation of inventory; the visibility and traceability of equipment in logistics activities; and the history and condition of assets.
It makes use of IIoT (industrial internet of things), RFID (radio-frequency identification), barcodes, tablets and smartphones to assist client operations.
