Subsea controls developer Proserv has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Verlume, a specialist in subsea power (battery) technology and intelligent energy management for the offshore energy sector.
The collaboration would seek to improve the efficiency of subsea power delivery, targeting a reduction in offshore energy consumption of up to 50%, with associated reliability and cost benefits.
