Scottish R&D center awards grants to three companies

The Oil & Gas Technology Centre’s TechX Pioneer program has awarded the inaugural RSE Unlocking Ambition Enterprise Fellowship to three companies.

ABERDEEN, UK – The Oil & Gas Technology Centre’s TechX Pioneer program has awarded the inaugural RSE Unlocking Ambition Enterprise Fellowship to three companies.

The trio were selected from 40 entrepreneurial companies recognized for the individual potential of their technologies, the quality of their ideas and the contribution they could make to the Scottish economy and wider society.

Under the 12-month program, each will receive grant funding, business development training, mentorship from other entrepreneurs and business advisors, and networking opportunities.

Paragon’s specialty is integrated digital inspection technology to improve inspection of small bore tubing and thereby reduce hydrocarbon leaks.

RAB Microfluidics’s miniature ‘lab-on-a-chip’ technology is said to provide real-time condition monitoring and predictive failure analysis for rotating equipment.

Specialist Safety Systems devises intelligent solutions for offshore crane operations to improve safety and help prevent incidents and fatalities.
