Equinor Energy has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill the Ragnfrid Nord prospect in the Norwegian Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Equinor Energy has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill the Ragnfrid Nord prospect in the Norwegian Sea.
Starting this month, the semisubmersibleWest Phoenix was due to spud well 6406/2-9 S in license PL199, just south of the company’s HP/HT Kristin field.
Water depth at the site is 278 m (912 ft).
Drilling could continue for 81 days, depending on the result.
