Seatrium and Golar LNG have agreed to allow a conversion contract lapse for the Golar Gandria LNG carrier.

This was one of three conversions to floating liquefaction vessels awarded by Golar LNG. Seatrium did complete work on the Hilli Episeyo, which was subsequently deployed to the Kribi gas field offshore Cameroon, and the FLNG Golar Gimi.

The latter will start service shortly for bp at the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim field offshore Mauritania and Senegal.

Last year, however, Golar LNG agreed to sell the 1977-built Golar Gandria for demolition.
