Cadeler has signed firm contracts to provide jackup vessels for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea offshore Poland.
These are joint venture projects owned 50% by Equinor and 50% by Polenergia. Cadeler estimates the potential value of the contracts at EUR120 million-144 million ($133million-160 million), with operations due to start in 2027.
Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 will be located roughly 22 km and 37 km from the port of Łeba, Poland, and they will require installation of 100 offshore wind turbine generators.
Cadeler plans to deploy one of its O-Class vessels and one P-Class vessel for the projects, giving the joint venture flexible options for meeting their capacity targets.
The two wind farms will have a combined generating capacity of 1,440 MW.
This is Cadeler’s third assignment in the Polish sector.
