Seatrium lands fabrication work for fifth offshore Guyana FPSO

SBM Offshore has contracted Seatrium to perform fabrication and integration of the topsides for the FPSO Jaguar, which was ordered for the Whiptail development.

SINGAPORE — SBM Offshore has contracted Seatrium to perform fabrication and integration of the topsides for the FPSO Jaguar, which Exxon Mobil has ordered for the Whiptail oilfield development in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana.

The work scope includes fabrication of certain topsides modules, riser, mooring and umbilical structures, followed by installation and integration of these structures and all topside modules for the FPSO.

In addition, Seatrium will support SBM Offshore with pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Jaguar will be capable of producing 250,000 bbl/d of oil with associated gas treatment capacity of 540 MMcf/d, water injection capacity of 300,000 bbl/d, and an oil storage capacity of 2 MMbbl.

Seatrium will start work on the program during the third quarter.

Previously the company provided services for the FPSOs Liza Destiny, Liza Unity and Prosperity in the same block, and it is currently working on a fourth, the ONE GUYANA.
