Petrobras renews Fluke inspection and maintenance contract

Petrobras has renewed its inspection, repair, and maintenance contract with Fluke Engenharia.

MACAE, Brazil -- Petrobras has renewed its inspection, repair, and maintenance contract with Fluke Engenharia. The contract covers the inspection and maintenance of mooring lines on all Petrobras's rigs offshore Brazil until 2012.
To meet the requirements of the contract, Fluke is opening a new base in Espirito Santo state, north of its Macaé headquarters. The new base is expected to be completed by November 2008 and will take advantage of the quieter, more easily accessible port facilities in the area, the company says.
