Noble drillship wins GoM contract

Noble has secured a new contract for the Noble Globetrotter I drillship in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM). The contract is for one firm well with up to six optional wells comprising a total potential duration of about 200 days. The contract is expected to begin in early January 2025 and has an estimated total contract value of $70 million if all options are exercised. Read more.


Constellation inks new 3-year drillship contract with Petrobras

Constellation Oil Services has been awarded a new contract with Petrobras for the deployment of the ultradeepwater Amaralina Star drillship for operations offshore Brazil. This includes remote areas of frontier exploration, such as the Equatorial Margin and Pelotas Basin. The contract value is about $528 million, which includes about $39 million mobilization fee and additional integrated services requested by Petrobras. Read more.


Seadrill nets long-term deals for two drillships offshore Brazil

Petrobras has contracted two Seadrill ultradeepwater drillships for long-term programs offshore Brazil. The combined value of the contracts, both with a duration of 1,095 days, is about $1 billion. Read more.


Transocean secures $111M ultradeepwater drillship contract

Transocean reported that a four-well option was exercised for the Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1 ultradeepwater drillship with Reliance Industries Ltd. in India. The estimated 270-day program is expected to begin in direct continuation of the rig’s firm term with Reliance and contribute about $111 million in backlog, excluding additional services.


Noble gets drilling contract extensions offshore Guyana, UK

ExxonMobil Guyana has extended the contracts for four of Noble Corp.'s drillships operating from second-quarter 2027 to third-quarter 2028, Noble said in a results update. Leading dayrates for tier-1 drillships remain in the mid $400,000s to low $500,000s/d range, the company added. Read more.
