CHENNAI, India -- Aban Offshore has received a letter of intent for the deployment of the newbuild jackup rig Aban VIII in the Middle East for 18 wells plus four optional wells.
The estimated revenue from the contract, with an estimated duration of four years, is $300 million. The deployment is to commence following delivery of the rig, which is expected in 2Q 2008.
