FloaTEC confirms wave basin tests for Brazil deepwater dry tree semisubmersibles

HOUSTON – FloaTEC will perform dry tree semisubmersible wave basin tests for the offshore Brazil prospects. Tests will be carried out on a FloaTEC proprietary extendable draft semisubmersible (EDS) and deep draft semisubmersible (DDSS). The test program will be carried out in September at Lab Oceano’s laboratory which is part of the research and development arm of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The EDS will be tested for Brazil and Gulf of Mexico environments and for in-place and extended hull installation cases.
