Allweiler pumps to assist Pieter Schelte topsides transfers

Colfax Fluid Handling has won a $775,000 contract to supply hydraulic pumps for Allseas’ new super heavy-lift vessel Pieter Schelte.

RADOLFZELL, Germany – Colfax Fluid Handling has won a $775,000 contract to supply hydraulic pumps for Allseas’ new super heavy-lift vesselPieter Schelte.

The catamaran vessel, with a lifting capacity of up to 48,000 tons, is designed to remove topsides structures from offshore platforms in one piece and transport them to land for decommissioning.

Around 100 Allweiler screw pumps will handle pumping of the hydraulic oil associated with the Bosch Rexroth drive and control system. The SNF series units can pump up to 2,300 l/min.
