The M/VCapt. Rudy is a 163-ft mega mini supply boat named in honor of the captain of one of the first Bollinger 145-ft mini supply vessels. The concept design is the result of a collaboration between Phillip Plaisance, president of Seahorse Marine, and Bollinger’s design and production team.

The new vessel will provide greater capacity and better sea-keeping, the company says.

Bollinger also recently signed a contract with Montco Offshore to build an advanced 245-ft liftboat to be called the L/BKayd. The award follows the construction of a nearly identical vessel delivered in 2002.

Delivery of the L/BKayd is planned for September 2005.

Delivery from Aker Promar is scheduled for June 2006.

Aker Brattvaag also won a contract from Olympic Shipping AS to build an MT 6016 platform supply vessel.
