PGNiG finds rig for Tomcat wildcat offshore mid-Norway

PGNiG Upstream Norway has contracted CIMC Offshore’s Deepsea Yantai semisub for a well on the Tomcat prospect in PL1055 in the Norwegian Sea.

BERGEN, Norway—PGNiG Upstream Norway has contracted CIMC Offshore’sDeepsea Yantai semisubmersible for a well on the Tomcat prospect in PL1055 in the Norwegian Sea.
Odfjell Drilling, which will operate the well, said drilling should last about 55 days and will begin either this spring or summer.
The contract includes an option for two further wells using the same rig in 2024.
