SINGAPORE — Centus Marine has contracted aluminum shipbuilder Strategic Marine to supply two fast crew boats (FCBs) as offshore support vessels.
The 42-m-long FCBs will have design and technical enhancements, the company said, such as robust hull engineering to ensure vessel performance, efficiency and stability in harsh offshore conditions.
Each vessel will be powered by three Cummins KTA50 engines, with cruising speeds of about 30 knots. The vessels will be able to transport 100 personnel in business class recliner seats, with accommodation for crew in the form of 12 berths in seven cabins.
Bow boarding, an enlarged wheelhouse and a large deck storage area with wide walkways should ensure safe and efficient crew transfer, Strategic Marine added.
The vessels are due to be delivered in early 2023 and will work in Southeast Asian waters.
