Maersk Drilling has closed its divestment of the jackup Mærsk Inspirer to Havila Sirius for $373 million.

LYNGBY, Denmark – Maersk Drilling has closed its divestment of the jackup Mærsk Inspirer (now re-named Inspirer) to Havila Sirius for $373 million.
Repsol Norge has assumed responsibility for operation of the rig on the newly onstream Yme field in the North Sea, leasing it from Havila on behalf of the Yme licensees, with 60 Maersk employees transferring to Repsol to ensure operational continuity.
Maersk Drilling will continue to provide systems and logistics services for up to 12 months and drilling management services for an unspecified period.
The Inspirer is a harsh environment CJ70-150MC jackup delivered in 2004 and converted to a dual-drilling and production facility in 2007.
