HOUSTON -- Technip has awarded UTEC Survey Construction Services a contract to provide survey and positioning services for the Jubilee field development, offshore Ghana.
Under the terms of the contract, UTEC Survey will perform pre-lay surveys, acoustic LBL array deployment, subsea metrology, and associated yard-based dimensional control in association with all subsea structures.
A pre-Jubilee phase began in October 2009 with the installation of acoustic LBL arrays, which will be used throughout the main Jubilee installation program.
The main project phase is scheduled to begin this month with the installation of 32 offshore structures. Technip will mobilize its deepwater lay vessel Deep Blue followed by the Deep Pioneer, with support from the LCV Olympic Triton. Installation work is expected to take approximately six months.
