DeepTech and Petroleum Marine Services have concluded offshore operations for the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) Phase 10 gas development in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea.

MCS Group subsidiary DeepTech and Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) have concluded offshore operations for the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) Phase 10 gas development in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea.

Burullus Gas Co., a joint venture between EGPC and Shell Petroleum, is the operator.

WDDM Phase X involved drilling and tie-ins of three new wells to existing subsea infrastructure, in water depths ranging from 430-660 m.

To provide power to the wells, two subsea umbilicals, 5 km and 2 km long, were laid in simultaneous operations using the PMS MAYO and PMS Burullus vessels over a seven-day period.

The program employed DeepTech work-class ROVs and MCS’ photo-realistic 3D Cloud (PRC) service for 3D subsea metrology and survey operations.

MCS Group's subsea engineering team was responsible for all engineering, with PMS managing fabrication, lifting marine operations and logistics. The joint project management team operated from an office in Cairo.
