PARIS -- Woodside Energy has awarded Technip and Subsea 7 a subsea installation contract for the Cossack Wanaea Lambert Hermes (CWLH) redevelopment project in the Carnarvon basin, offshore Australia.

The overall CWLH redevelopment project involves the replacement of the oil-producing FPSO Cossack Pioneer and the refurbishment of associated subsea infrastructure.

The Technip and Subsea 7 contract covers project management; recovery of three risers and installation of three replacement risers; installation of 20 km (12 mi) of flowlines; riser base rectification works; and pre-commissioning assistance.

Offshore installation is scheduled for 4Q 2010 using Technip’s construction vessel Venturer and the diving support vessel Nor Australis contracted by Woodside.
