OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway has approved Statoil’s plan to remove the Troll Oseberg Gas Injection (TOGI) seabed template from the North Sea and transport it onshore for scrapping and recycling.
The facility is in 302 m (991 ft) water depth in production license 085, south of Troll Øst in block 31/6.
The program, due to be performed in July and August, calls for mobilization of Saipem’s heavy-lift vesselSSCV S7000; lifting from the seabed and towing the template from block 31/6 to Leirvik on Stord, via Bømlafjorden; and cleaning the seabed post-removal.
