DeepOcean has extended charter agreements for three subsea vessels with Østensjø Rederi.
Edda Freya and Edda Flora will remain part of the company’s fleet through 2026, and Edda Fauna through 2027; all the contracts carry further extension options.
The vessels have been under contract with DeepOcean since their delivery from the shipyards. Following a recent, separate agreement to contract the subsea vessel Orient Adventurer, DeepOcean will now be able to undertake more comprehensive work scopes using two vessels equipped with vertical lay systems.
Edda Freya, delivered in 2016, is a hybrid-powered construction vessel designed for offshore construction and complex maintenance/repair tasks globally. Its under-deck carousel allows it to switch application to cable laying for offshore energy projects.
Deep Ocean considers Edda Flora its flagship subsea survey vessel, again for global operations, while Edda Fauna performs IMR services mainly in the North Sea.
