ADES has secured a 10-year extension to its contract for the jackup Admarine 657, operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This should take effect during the current quarter in continuation of the current term.

In Southeast Asia, all three ADES offshore rigs deployed in India are at present operational. Another, the Emerald, has started operations offshore Indonesia after mobilizing from Qatar, and a new contract for PTTEP offshore Thailand should start later in the year.

Another of the company’s jackups began a one-year firm program drilling program offshore Qatar last month, with extension options of up to 18 months.

Offshore Egypt, Suez Oil Company (SUCO) has confirmed a 24-month jackup drilling contract in the Gulf of Suez, at a higher dayrate than ADES’ current average in Egypt. The company will allocate a standard jackup from its fleet.
