STEINHAUSEN, Switzerland —Transocean Ltd. has secured work for two of its ultradeepwater drillships offshore Brazil from an unnamed national oil company.
Deepwater Corcovado’s four-year contract, estimated at $583 million, will start in the third quarter next year, in direct continuation of the vessel’s current program.
The three-year, $456-million contract for Deepwater Orion should begin in fourth-quarter 2023.
