Odfjell Drilling semisub secures work with Shell offshore Namibia

On behalf of Northern Ocean, Odfjell Drilling has agreed with Shell on a drilling contract for the Deepsea Bollsta semisubmersible offshore Namibia.

The Deepsea Bollsta unit is designed for operations in both benign and harsh environments and at water depths of up to 3,000 m.

KOKSTAD, Hordaland —On behalf of Northern Ocean Ltd. (NOL), Odfjell Drilling has agreed with Shell on a drilling contract for Deepsea Bollsta offshore Namibia.
The contract is expected to commence in the middle of fourth-quarter 2022 and has an estimated firm duration of 12 months plus one six-month option.
Odfjell Drilling said it will immediately begin reactivation activities and mobilization preparation and looks forward to working with NOL and Shell to meet contract expectations safely and efficiently.
