Shelf Drilling secures offshore India contract with ONGC

Shelf Drilling has received an award for a three-year contract for the C.E. Thornton jackup rig with Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) for operations in the Mumbai High offshore India.

The Mumbai High Field is located 176 km off the west coast of Mumbai in the Gulf of Cambay region of India, in about 75 m of water. The oil operations are run by ONGC.

Shelf Drilling's C.E. Thornton jackup rig can accommodate 113 people and operate in a max water depth of 300 ftt.
