HOUSTON – VAALCO Energy says the Etame field co-venturers have approved its recent bareboat contract and operating agreements with World Carrier Offshore Services.
These allow the Etame FPSO to be replaced by an FSO, cutting storage and offloading costs by almost 50%, and raising effective capacity for oil storage by more than 50%.
VAALCO expects the FSO to start operating in September 2022 prior to the expiry of the current FPSO contract, with the next drilling campaign at Etame scheduled to start later this year.
